Managing Services

How to create and configure appointment services with pricing options, categories, notifications, and more.

What is a service?

A service defines what a facilitator offers to customers — for example, “Deep Tissue Massage”, “Sports Therapy”, or “Private Yoga Session”. Each service includes a description, buffer time, and one or more pricing options with different durations and prices.

Viewing services

Navigate to Services > Appointments and click the Manage tab. The Services section shows all existing services with their name, buffer time, and description.

Creating a service

Click Add Service to open the Service Editor. The editor guides you through five steps:

Step 1: Basic Information

Service NameThe name customers will see (e.g. “Deep Tissue Massage”)
DescriptionA rich-text description of the service. This is shown to customers when they browse available services. You can use headings, bold, italic, lists, and links.
Buffer Time (minutes)Time between appointments for cleanup or preparation. For example, a 15-minute buffer means the system will not allow a new appointment to start until 15 minutes after the previous one ends.

Step 2: Pricing Options

Add one or more pricing options for the service. Each option has:

Duration (min)How long the appointment lasts
PriceThe cost in your configured currency

Click Add Option to add each pricing option. You can add as many as you need — for example, 30-minute, 60-minute, and 90-minute options at different price points. When a customer books, they choose which option they want.

Step 3: Categories & Location

LocationOptionally assign a location where the service is delivered
Additional Terms & ConditionsOptionally attach terms and conditions that the customer must accept when booking

Categories, locations, and terms are managed under Services > Categories, Services > Locations, and Services > Terms respectively.

Step 4: Notifications

Configure the email notifications sent to customers for this service:

Booking ConfirmationThe template sent when a customer books an appointment. Defaults to your company or system template. You can select a bespoke template if one has been created under Notifications.
Appointment ReminderThe template sent as a reminder before the appointment. You can also configure how many hours before the appointment the reminder is sent (default 2 hours, maximum 240 hours / 10 days).

Step 5: Optional Settings

Click Create Service to save.

Editing and deleting services

Each service card on the Manage tab has Edit and Delete buttons:

  • Edit — re-opens the Service Editor with all current values pre-filled.
  • Delete — permanently removes the service. Existing bookings for this service are not affected, but no new bookings can be made.
